Girl Designer Shoes Houston TX
Best Italian Shoes Selection for women

Shoe shopping in a big city is always a challenge. A woman has to know where to begin before she sets out to shoe shop in a metropolitan area, otherwise she will waste her precious time and energy traveling from place to place, especially in Houston with all the traffic! Recently in Houston, I did not know where to even begin to look for a pair of heels I needed for a special night out of dinner and dancing. When I asked a couple women who had been born and raised in Houston where to find girl designer shoes Houston TX, they said without a doubt that I had to go directly to Josephs. Taking their word, to Josephs I went. Their recommendation was spot on for the customer service, it was second to none. Their selection was also top of the line. While I tried on several pair of shoes, and the lady was more than happy to assist me, I fell in love with two pair.

One, was a pair of Marion Park glittery, rainbow heels with a sleek 3 ½-inch heel and a band that wrapped around my ankle, crisscrossed and wrapped around a second time. The second pair was equally as stunning. They were a pair of black Gianvitto Rossi 4-inch heels with a black, satin ankle wrap that made a sexy curve up my leg to about mid-calf and the satin felt absolutely divine. My ears perked up when the salesclerk told me this pair was on sale. I had to fight to not fall out of my seat on to the floor when she said they were regularly $1,245 but were marked down to $750. Great I thought, I’ll just give up eating next month and I will be all set to pay for them! Time to find a few more stores to explore in Houston for my dream shoes.

I saw Sak’s 5th Avenue was having a sale that day, so I thought I would try my luck there next. I instantly found a pair of Christian Louboutin 4-inch black satin stilettos with a T-strap embellished with crystals. While they were not quite as stunning as the black silk pair I found at Joseph’s, they were gorgeous. I panicked when I turned them over and saw a price tag of $1,395. My heart sank with disappointment. Determined, I continued looking, believing I had to find something here. Then a pair of 2 ¾-inch Manolo Blahnik pumps in sparkly silver, finished with a jewel embossed buckle across the arch caught my eye. Once again, I was in sticker shock, $1,025. OK, I decided to give Saks one more try and continued scouring their shoe department for something I could afford that would still help me make an entrance. A pair of black silk Guiseppe Ganotti slip-ons with a 4-inch heel and crystal fringe all across the top of the shoe screamed out to me. I held my breath as I turned them over to peek at the price. Well it was under the thousand-dollar mark, but just barely, $995. Finding girl designer shoes Houston TX was going to prove more challenging than I expected. Next store please!

Tootsie’s, the name sounded like I might be able to afford shoes here. While their prices were not as steep as the previous two stores I tried, for what I was looking for they were still pricey. I found two pair that would work with my dress. A black leather pair of Jimmy Choo pumps, very simple, yet elegant were $595 and a black pair of open toed Stuart Weitzman’s sandals with an ankle strap, sleek and simple for $400. Yes, their name led me to think they were a bit more affordable, but most of the shoes at Tootsie’s are $500 and up. The search continued.

Next, I decided to explore Macy’s shoe department. Here I tried a black pair of 2-inch Nina Vinnie’s. They had rhinestone detailing along the ankle strap and a sexy bow in the back of the shoe and were only $99. This was the best price I had seen all day. Unfortunately, when I tried them on, they felt like I was wearing a $9 pair of shoes; there was no way I could dance all night long in these. Still hopeful, I tried a black pair of 3-inch Badgley Mischka pumps with a pointy toe and a jewel embossed ankle strap that cut diagonally across the top of the arch. They were pretty sharp and were only $119, but yet again, felt horrible on my foot. At this point I was bordering on tears. Why was it so hard to find girl designer shoes in Houston TX?

After grabbing a latte to keep me going, I ventured into Nordstrom’s. Here I found a pair of 4 1/4 –inch black Valentino Garavani’s. They were black leather with a peep-toe and gold rock-stud detailing along the ankle strap, which crisscrossed at the top of the arch, super sharp! I wanted to scream as I saw that they were priced at $1,045! I found several pair of designer shoes that would have looked incredible with my dress, but were priced far too high. The least expensive of which was a simple Prada pointy-toe pumps for $675.

By this time, I was thoroughly exhausted, so I went back to my hotel room to sulk a bit. As I was venting to a friend, she suggested I look online at onshoshoes.com. I wasn’t sure if I had time to order on-line, but I was desperate. Sure enough,I found an exquisite pair of black 3-inch sexy stiletto heels by Alexandra Neel. They had black and clear jewel detailing around the ankle and t-straps for just$280. I paid for expedited shipping, they arrived in time and my feet felt like heaven in them.  Wow, I could have saved myself all that time, energy and frustration if I had only started with onshoshoes in the first place. Live and learn I guess.
